Pupil Attendance

Pupils cannot get the best from their education if they are frequently absent from school.

Our attendance has always been higher than the national average and we strive to ensure that is maintained by monitoring attendance of pupils and supporting families to ensure that their child attends school every day, on time and ready to learn.

We recognise the importance of regular attendance to:

  • Promote children’s welfare and ensure they are safe
  • Ensure every pupil has access to the full time education to which they are entitled
  • Ensure that pupils succeed whilst at school
  • Ensure that pupils have access to the widest possible range of opportunities when they leave school

We ask that parents and carers support us in ensuring that their child has a high attendance figure. If your child is going to be absent from school for medical reasons please contact us by telephone or by using the absence reporting procedure on this site.

Please see our attendance policy that outlines government guidelines and statutory duties that all schools must fulfill regarding the attendance of pupils.
